There are so many places I’m hoping to go this year. But like every year, I look up flights and wonder if that’s the cheapest that they could be or if I should buy the flights later or go at a different time. The endless cycle turns into me pushing off trips, worrying about flights, and then pushing trips off again.
Today, I met the app that might change all that for me: Hopper.
Hopper is an app that helps you figure out the best time to fly, and the best time to buy a flight. It’s like a little flight genie in your pocket!
It pulls tons of air fares and looks at data to predict how the prices will change. If it thinks there’s going to be a better price, you can select the “Watch This Trip” option and Hopper will keep an eye on the price for you. Instead of spending your free time obsessively searching the same flight (rumor has it, that makes the price go up if you’re logged in on your browser!) you can just check in on your watched flights on the app’s home screen, or wait for a notification.
It also predicts the weeks that the price will fluctuate, and when the price will start to rise — key information that I’m always wondering about.
My favorite part? The app has a great design that’s both visually fun and and easy to follow. Results pull up fast, so you’re not waiting around for the prices to load. And once the price is right, you can see the breakdown of flight prices and airlines and choose your getaway!
